Comparing CBD Products

Comparing CBD Products What you should know There is no regulatory oversight in the CBD industry. Not the FDA, not the DEA, and not the Department of Agriculture. There are over 3,000 CBD companies sell CBD products today in a totally unregulated market. There are currently no labeling requirements for CBD products, making it is [...]

Key Ingredients

Key Ingredients in CBD Formulations Cannabidiol (CBD) Cannabinoids (like CBD, THC, CBN, CBG) are complex chemical compounds that act on receptors in cells. Cannabinoids, like CBD and THC, are produced by both the hemp and marijuana plant. However, unlike THC, you will feel neither intoxicated nor "stoned" when consuming a CBD product, [...]

Establishing Your CBD Dosage

Establishing Your CBD Dosage We always recommend you "start low, and go slow" as you establish your dose. CBD is biphasic, meaning it can be energizing or sedating, depending on the amount consumed. In smaller doses, CBD can be energizing and mood enhancing. In larger doses, it can induce drowsiness. What is considered a [...]

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 100+ cannabinoids naturally produced by both the hemp and marijuana plant. CBD is highly therapeutic, non-addictive, and non-intoxicating. Cannabinoids act on receptors found throughout the body, allowing for its therapeutic benefits.

There are two different types of cannabinoids. There are endocannabinoids, which are naturally occurring in the human body. And there are phytocannabinoids, which are produced by the hemp and marijuana plant. CBD, THC, CBN, CBG are all examples of phytocannabinoids (often referred to as simply cannabinoids). Cannabinoids are molecules that bind to and activate different receptors in cells.

Full-spectrum oil is the closest to whole plant medicine. It includes all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids naturally found in the hemp plant. Broad-spectrum oil is similar to full-spectrum oil, except that is does not include the cannabinoid, THC. Isolate is the isolated molecule of CBD. Isolate is not an oil, but a fine, white powder, comprised of 99% CBD, 0% THC.

The minuscule glands (or trichomes) of the hemp plant that excrete cannabinoids also produce terpenes, which are what give hemp and marijuana their distinct aromas. They are not exclusive to cannabis plants, and can be found throughout nature. An example of a terpene would be linalool, which is predominantly found in lavender, and it is what gives it its floral scent.

The entourage effect is the relationship that naturally exists between cannabinoids and terpenes. It means that no one terpene or cannabinoid is as effective as the sum of their parts. In other words, CBD on its own (as in isolate) is not as therapeutically effective as when combined with other cannabinoids (like THC) and terpenes. It is why we prefer full-spectrum oil for our products over an isolate.

The Endocannabinoid System is the collection of receptors that receive cannabinoids produced by both our body and by plants. The ECS receptors are responsible for biological and physiological processes such as appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory.

“It worked Surprisingly well. Along with relief it’s scent is pleasant but not overpowering. I highly recommend it.”

“I give the drops to my pet pig that has arthritis. He struggled to get up and move around because of how bad the pain was. After just a few week’s taking them he is like a new pig!”

Rachel

“I have been using Wintergreen for the last two weeks. It has all but eliminated the joint pain I have experienced as a result of the side effects of taking aromatase inhibitor medication for breast cancer. Previously I was taking 6 otc pain relief pills a day without achieving anywhere near the level I have found with your product. I am so glad to have been lucky enough to try your product.”

Anne

“Been using Wintergreen twice a day for 10 days on my hands, and I’m noticing significant pain and inflammation relief! My rheumatologist does not recommend NSAID-relievers due to the infusions used to treat my rheumatoid arthritis because they negatively effect my immune system. It has been a good alternative to the traditional pain management methods!”

Donna

“Both my husband and I take the Indica and we are so happy to be off of medication for pain! My husband was on Lyrica for neuropathic foot pain, and by using CBD is off his meds! I take it for anxiety and am not on any meds anymore either. Can’t say enough good about it!!!!”
